We returned to this property where we had built a studio to the rear ten years earlier. ten years later with all their family teenagers now, the owners wanted to extend the rear of the house to accommodate the hoards of visiting teenagers. We were asked  to add a deck and entertaining area to complement the rear studio.

We opened out the back of the house with bifold doors to make the inside and outside blend harmoniously.  with the previous architects tied up with their own young family now, sam crawford was recommended.after working with him on two previous projects this proved a successful transition. this time we used a steel framework and clad the ceiling in gyproc so we didn't try to compete with the rear studio.

We put in a hardwood deck and staging area with metal ballustrading and stainless wires. These materials work beautifully together. once again the project went without a hitch.
